The Volkswagen Beetle. Also Known as the VW T1. Manufactured from 1938 to 2003 By Volkswagen, Not only manufactured in Germany but also in Many other countries such as Mexico, Brazil and South Africa. Over 20 Million VW Bugs have been sold quite an amazing amount.

The Volkswagen Beetle is very unique with a Rear air cooled engine. It Came out of the factory with 1200,1300,1500 and 1600cc Engines. From the 1970s and later when the Bug was becoming highly popular the engines have been bored out to 1641cc,1776cc,1879cc still utilising the original crankshaft and just swapping the Barrels and Pistons and Cylinder heads for bigger ones..

During the Late 1950s until 1979 There was a Beetle soft top made with coaching by Karmann. These Convertible where really the best of the best and proved highly sort afer in the United States. Over the years there have been numerous upgrades and face lifts to the Type 1. The early model had a split oval rear window which was swapped in the late fifties to a small Oval rear window. Then from 1960s and later came the beetle that is recognised world over. In 1967 The Beetle and Camper verisons where all switched to 12 volt models as all the earlier ones where 6 volt.

In the early 1970s along came the 1302/1302 version beetles. Theses 1302/3 models where supplied with McPherson struts on the front where as earlier models all had a Front axle beam. The 1303 model also came with a bigger curved front windshield where as all other beetles had a smaller flat one.

Now in the 2010's The VW Beetle is still as popular as ever. With all models been sort after and restored back to there past glory. the Pre 1967s Models are still the most highly prized vw beetles. The Cabriolet's now are few and far between with many long since snapped up my enthusiasts and collectors and kept in lock ups and just bought out for the Occasional VW event.
